Epic Showdown: MERMC Malaysia 2023 - Winners Announced

MonsoonSIM Enterprise Resource Management Competition (MERMC) Malaysia Final 2023 came to an exhilarating end, with teams from across Malaysia showcasing their prowess. The competition, held on 23rd September 2023 at Astaka UMP (Universiti Malaysia Pahang) Gambang, witnessed breathtaking races and outstanding performances, culminating in the crowning of new champions.

This competition was organized by the Faculty of Industrial Management of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), in collaboration with Infusion Information Technology Sdn. Bhd.; it was powered by MonsoonSIM, the provider of MonsoonSIM Enterprise Simulation and Gaming Platform.

The objective of the competition was to promote experiential learning through an ERP game platform, encouraging graduating students to embrace business process learning, incubating future ERP talents and exposing the Y generation to education through gamification.

12 teams from six universities participated in this competitive tournament: Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU), University College TATI (UC TATI), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and Politeknik Melaka.

Top 5 teams are qualified for MERMC International 2023

Team SYNCS from UTAR clinched the gold medal with a final score of 84.65 points, their excellent and stable performance in the two rounds of the competition propelled them to victory. Additionally, team LOST IN UNKNOWN from UTAR won the first runner-up with a final score of 0.23 points lower than the champion; followed by the team APU Team 1 from APU, they finished second runner-up with a final score of 82.73 points. Team MVP and team SS ENTERPRISE from UMPSA secured the 4th and 5th positions.
